Hello everyone, Even though our son has only been attending the centre for a short time , the impact is has been outstanding in his self believe doing a days work . Staff and peers have made him feel welcome and part of the team . Friendly and hard working with a lovely café. Thank you everyone,
Jill
We have a 29 year old Son that attends Princes Park for 3 days a week. It was his wish to attend this facility from the time he left full time education approximately 6 years ago. Our son regards his time there as “work” and is always keen to attend. The work is varied and I’m sure that his confidence has improved a lot. The staff, without exception, are extremely welcoming and helpful to both our son and my wife and I. If we have any concerns, they are easy to approach and will seek to resolve any issues satisfactorily. The impact on our son, of Princes park, can best be measured by the last years lockdown. He was housebound for 9 months with just a computer and a DVD player to keep him amused. The end of lockdown brought a complete change in his demeanour and he could not wait to return. I had always wondered what would happen if Princes Park was to close for good and lockdown confirmed my fear that if that was to happen, there is no alternative out there and it would be a disaster, not only for our son but for the other clients that attend. The staff continue to improve their services, despite financial restrictions, by innovative thinking i.e. 5 a side and Tai Chi classes. Both of which our son looks forward to immensely. Long may it continue.

The impact on the well being of my brother who attends the princes park garden centre as been very positive , he attends mon-fri, being out with the other people who attend the centre is great for his social life as well as learning various skills there, gardening, painting etc..its also good for his mental health because he has something to look forward to every day. without the garden centre he would be stuck at home most days with not a lot to do as there are no other facilities like it in the area, its a friendly place for him to work there as well..everyone gets along together and thats down to the staff who do a great job with the volunteers and making sure every one is happy, the volunteers know they can speak to a member of staff with any issues which are then handled in a calm and professional manner in which to bring a happy solution for all round.

Had my car cleaned today by the guys here, absolutely lovely, hard working bunch. They did a great job! I will definitely be back. Also will be back for plants when our garden is ready. Got some great advice from the gardener guy there (I'm sorry but I didn't get his name, but I'll be back :).

I've just been in with my 2 & a half year old and what a lovely little cafe ♡ The staff were very friendly & asked questions to ensure that my son's lunch was exactly what he wanted. They engaged with him & asked him questions too. The prices are reasonable & cafe itself is airy, light and cosy ♡

Fantastic garden centre with good prices and range of plants. There is a second hand store inside the centre and a coffee shop. It’s nice to go there have a coffee and browse the stock they have. I always find something to buy something. Kudos on the job you are doing. Like my review if you think it was useful ?.

Lovely local garden centre, even has a charity shop which is packed with lots of things to get. It's run by volunteers so closes at 3. The cafe is also a great place to visit and the prices are very good, would recommend going
