Our Day Opportunities

Princes Park Garden Centre is a Day Service offering work-based placements for Adults with Learning Disabilities. We offer opportunities to participate in a wide range of activities, from training in Horticulture and garden maintenance to sports and customer service. Funding from Elevate Salford and the WEA have enabled us to provide adapted training courses and experiences in developing pre-employability skills, such as First Aid, Food Hygiene, Retail skills, customer service and many more.

We also offer work experience in our on site Charity Shop and Cafe.

Many of these opportunities are not always easily accessible to adults with disabilities, so our facilities are vital to the wellbeing of the individuals that attend our service.

From a family perspective, Princes Park Garden Centre offers parents and carers much-needed respite time in an environment where there is reassurance that the person they care for is being supported by trained staff in a welcoming and pleasant setting where they are encouraged to develop independence, and skills that will help them throughout their life.

Referrals can be taken via Salford Learning Disability Team or from individuals wishing to fund via Direct Payments or self funding. Service Users may attend from just one day per week to full week placements, subject to availability on the chosen days.
